Projection

If I were to see you in thirty years’ time, when your hair is ash-grey and your eyes  still sad, when you suddenly slide into the lecture hall as I’m giving mine, and sit there, right there, just above eye-level behind all the students. I’d suddenly see your stout figure, and say, “Have you ever lost a love, and wished him happiness, even after all this past time?
Bowing my head in remembrance, in regret, in respect that that, too, has passed.
“Dismissed.”
