Hidden Valley

By Anthony Cardellini

I was driving around America, somewhere in the southwest. I decided to make a stop at a gas station off Hidden Valley Road.

While in the convenience store I realized I wanted to check out the valley. Sometimes the best places are the hidden ones. I asked the cashier how to reach it.

She said she came to the store seeking the same answer and never left. I pushed her on the valley’s location, figuring it must be beautiful after all.

She looked at me directly and said, “Sir, to tell you the truth, no one’s really found it yet.”
