How It Ended

By Alex Thornber

It’s the morning after and I’m staying buried in the sheets, playing possum. I don’t want to watch it happen.

I can hear:
Crying.
A bag zipping.
Slamming doors.
Crunching of gravel.
Wheels rolling away.
