Angle: The space between two lines or surfaces at the point at which they touch each other, measured in degrees.
Week one – his best side. The angle – 100 degrees of pure lust. The point – trying to find ‘the one.’
Week two – both of us on the same side. Angle – 70 degrees of lust tempered with 30 degrees of laughter and chat. The point – discovering if we have a future beyond sex.
Week three – my worst side. The angle – 100 degrees of anger and distrust. The point – love triangles, fire torches and me, are a very dangerous mix.
Amanda Saint’s short fiction collection, Flashes Of Colour, is coming in 2020. Amanda founded and runs Retreat West Books indie press, which publishes short fiction, novels and memoirs.
