“That’s true…all of it. I wouldn’t have been so candid with you if I thought otherwise. I guess we were bound to meet in this small town.”
“It isn’t like we weren’t discussing it.”
“No, it just was going to be planned, I suppose.”
“Yes.”
“Do you think this is better?”
“In a way—now we’re compelled to talk about it …”
“About what?”
“Fate would be a start ….”
